CERAMIC DISC CARTRIDGE 40MM:

New Water Control 'On/Off' Cartridge for either Kitchen or Bathroom Taps, or Manual Mixer Shower Valves.

The 25mm is the Diameter of the Cartridge main body. The overall length (excluding the lugs) is some 49.5mm. The off-white coloured top section is some 17 x 9 x 9mm. Other  measurements are shown in the pictures.

There are 3 holes on the base with rubber seals which need to be tightly secured in the tap cavity. It has 2 securing 'lugs' on the base and the distance between the centres of these is 16.5mm.

The Minimum recommended water pressure is 0.5 bars.

If your taps are leaking or won't shut off, then you may just need one of these Replacement Cartridges, instead of having to replace the whole tap!

REPLACEMENT/REPAIR THERMOSTATIC CARTRIDGE FOR BATH MIXER & VARIOUS SHOWER VALVES:

Symptoms: Does your tap/shower/valve no longer regulate the temperature effectively? Are you getting strange 'surging' or vibration noises? Are you is a hard water area like 60-65% of the UK?

Solution: Simply change the cartridge, not the whole tap or shower!

Principally made from brass, this generic Thermostatic Cartridge is suitable for many manufacturers, and some of the types of Taps and Showers that we sell are shown in the Picture gallery above.

The operating Temperature range is between 20 to 48 Degrees C, with safety override button at the 38 Degrees C position. The cartridge comes calibrated to 38 Degrees C with the handle and safety 'stop ring' already attached.

To install it with a Bath Mixer Tap or Torpedo style Bar Shower valves, all you have to do is remove the grub screw on the body underneath (3mm Allen key is commonly required) and push it into place. With the concealed shower valves, the handle has to be removed and then the cartridge fitted separately. Lubrication may well be needed around the black rubber seals. Always ensure your water is off when fitting!!

It can also be used to replace some older style cartridges (see picture).

The Dimensions are: Total Length of Cartridge = 95mm. Widest section = 33mm diameter (round the thicker brass section where the grub screw hole is located). Base of cartridge to centre of Grub screw hole = 60mm. The 3 Black rubber washers are positioned at approx 7mm, 27mm and 47mm from the centre of the grub screw hole.

35mm is the Diameter of the Cartridge. The overall height (excluding the lugs) is some 57.5mm. The main body is 38.4mm high. The off-white coloured top section is some 18 x 9 x 9mm.

There are 3 holes on the base with rubber seals which need to be tightly secured in the tap cavity. It has 2 securing 'lugs' on the base and the distance between the centres of these is 18mm.

The Minimum recommended water pressure is 0.45 bars.

If your taps are leaking or won't shut off, then you may just need one of these Replacement Cartridges, instead of having to replace the whole tap!

There are 3 holes on the base with individual seals covering them and which need to be tightly secured in the tap cavity. It has 2 securing 'lugs' on the base and the distance between the centres of these is 24mm.

The Minimum recommended water pressure is 0.5 bars.

If your taps are leaking or won't shut off, then you may just need one of these Replacement Cartridges, instead of having to replace the whole tap!

REPLACEMENT/REPAIR CERAMIC DISC WATER FLOW CERAMIC DISC CARTRIDGE:

Symptoms: Does your Bath Tap or Shower Valve drip? Are you is a hard water area like 60-65% of the UK? Solution: Simply change the Ceramic Disc Cartridge, not the whole tap or shower! 
 

Principally made from brass, this Ceramic Disc Cartridge is suitable for various Mixer taps and shower valves.  This is the left side mechanism component part as you look at the front of the Mixer Taps/Shower.

To install it with a Bath Mixer Tap or Torpedo style Bar Shower valves, all you have to do is prise off the end cap, remove the grub screw inside, then undo the 'nut' shaped section of the cartridge. Always ensure your water is off when fitting!!

The Dimensions are:  Total Length of Cartridge = 48mm. It is a standard 1/2"BSP size thread (measures 3/4" diameter where it fits into the taps/valve body). This 'inside' section that goes into the Taps/Shower is approx 22mm long. The diameter of the main housing that fits inside the mixer body is some 17.8mm and it is approx 13mm long (excluding the threads). There are 20 splines (teeth) and the diameter of them is 7.5mm.

REPLACEMENT/REPAIR CERAMIC DISC WATER FLOW CERAMIC DISC CARTRIDGE:

Symptoms: Does your Shower Valve drip? Are you is a hard water area like 60-65% of the UK? Solution: Simply change the Ceramic Disc Cartridge, not the whole shower! 
 

Principally made from brass, this Ceramic Disc Cartridge is suitable for various shower valves sold by OurTaps. 

The Dimensions are:  Total Length of Cartridge is approx 91mm. The brass shaft, including the spindle on the end, meaures some 51.6mm. It is a standard 3/4"BSP size thread (measures 1" diameter where it fits into the valve body chamber). The 'inside' section that goes into the Shower is approx 24mm long. See pictures for other measurements.

To turn this on the spindle rotates anti-clockwise 1/4 turn (90 degrees).

The colour of the rubber seal on the base may vary from the picture shown.

STAINLESS STEEL FLEXI HOSE FOR KITCHEN BASIN SINK PULL OUT MIXER LEVER TAP:

The hose is some 1.5 metres long and this can usually extend out from the taps by some 80-100cms (depends on where you locate the weight). It is made of Stainless Steel externally with a chrome finish. The threaded male end (which connects to the tap) is some 15mm diameter outside (please check as this size can vary with other hoses!). The female end (which connects to the Spray Handheld Spout end is a UK standard 1/2"BSP (measuring 3/4" diameter inside). It comes with 2 rubber washers (different sizes for each end)

Pair of Flexible Stainless Steel Metal Tap Hoses, 1/2"BSP Nut & M10 male threads - Approx 40cms.

These hoses have one 1/2" BSP female end (measuring 3/4" across on diameter inside) and one M10 (10mm diameter) male threaded end on the other. The M10 ends screw into the base of a basin mixer tap and the female 'nuts' connect to your hot and cold feeds.
